The Plunge

I should have tried it when I had the chance!  But great fear had taken me.  Now, I’m regretting it.  There’s the hanging question at the back of my mind, “What if”.  And forever I would not know the answer, would I?

The plunge is one of the adventure activities in E.A.T Danao.  It is a canyon swing adventure attraction mounted over a 200 meter high and 300 meter wide gorge. A person would have to do a 45 meters free fall before being launched on a pendulum swing measuring to a hundred meter diameter. Cable has a maximum working load of 5 tons. It is the best “fear factor” experience one shouldn’t miss when in Danao (unfortunately, I did!).  One has to literally plunge to an open air where about two seconds, the plunger will all be defenseless, feel nothing and left all alone.

But as a consolation, I got to see how bravely my daughter took the plunge.  An experience I didn’t miss.  I was so proud!

Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes

Banapple is a bakery café that serves freshly-baked pies, cheesecakes and desserts, as well as other specialty food and coffee.  My first time to visit Banapple was when we had our dinner after my eldest’s UPCAT.  That was last August 5, 2012.  It was a stressful day for my daughter, thus we decided to give her a treat.  So we went to Banapple at Katipunan Branch.

The place is not that big, but the colors and design are amazingly wonderful that give you cozy vibes.  The selection of food is considerable which includes appetizers, entrée, desserts, pastries, drinks, etc.  Each food order has generous serving, even the cakes!  To top it all, the price is reasonably all right.

We are not big eaters, as much as we would like to taste all the food, we just had these:

I just couldn't remember the names of these entrées! But choices were with chicken, beef and fish. :)

Hangin Habagat 2012

It's a saddened event that strike our country once again.  Most of the places in Luzon including cities and towns in National Capital Region of the Philippines is now suffering from devastating flood.  Many are in state of calamity because of Hangin Habagat or also known as southwest monsoon.  Hundreds of families and properties are greatly affected by the massive flood and landslides.

But Filipino spirit is water proof!  Amidst the unlikely catastrophe, Pinoys are steadfast and would not stop in helping each other..

And despite all this, the humor of Pinoys never grow dull.

It's more fun in the Philippines!!!

who says there couldn't be fun in the flood?!
