I know there are many customers who are very unhappy these days with Globe's services of any kind, yet how ironic, I just found out that Globe Telecom bagged one of the biggest and most prestigious citations it has received to date after winning Best Customer Experience in the 2013 World Communication Awards.

Just like me, who among you had had bad experience with Globe's services?  On a scale of 1-5 and  5 as the highest score for being very satisfied on all factors of customer satisfaction, how would you rate Globe Telecom?  Comment on your score and feel free to share your experience.

GLOBE's Customer Satisfaction: POOR

I'd been loyal to Globe since 2000 when I got my first ever cellphone.  I was a prepaid subscriber then.  But my needs increased so I decided to have a postpaid line two years ago.  I thought if I had the postpaid line I have the perks of being a valued customer.  Yet, I was wrong.  Globe gave me a nightmare!  And up until now, nightmares never stop from showing despite the fact that I've never been a delinquent subscriber:

  1. Inaccurate Bills -  I was billed to usages that I'd never done which gave me shocks coz the amount was too costly.  It took months to resolve one inaccuracy!  And until this time, I still receive inaccuracy on my bills which leads to another nightmare of fixing it.
  2. Hotline 211 - Calling the hotline is one heck of a nightmare!  Too many options to choose that you'll get tired of listening.  Too many numbers to press and click that sometimes the customer ends up pressing/clicking the wrong options which leads to many transfer calls.
  3. Broken Promises -  I didn't realize that re-contracting is such troublesome on our part.  I thought once you are a loyal customer, you are more valued by the company that you won't have a hard time and you're given priority.  Globe definitely failed to satisfy us.  They could not deliver on time.
  4. Inaccurate Job order -  I ordered for new mobile units which I'm willing to pay for the additional cash out, and they accepted my request.  Later on I've found out that the job order made by the agent was incorrect which led to delay of acquiring the new units.
  5. Incompetent Customer Assistants - It's already a nightmare to get through the proper line, then you'll find out that the person on the other line has not able to help you at all.  Or one account specialist says different things from another account specialist which cause some delays to address properly your problem.
  6. Imprecise Service - Because of the incompetency of the agents, the lead time to completely serve my problem in indefinite.  What happened to Globe's goals and objectives... "it lives up to its vision of making great things possible in order to maintain customer loyalty"?
One of the best ways to find out how satisfied the customers are is to simply ask them. One popular way of doing this is through customer satisfaction surveys.  I wonder if Globe is doing this.  I wonder what's the company rank in overall customer satisfaction index.  If given the chance to answer the customer satisfaction survey, my overall rating for Globe is POOR!

Maybe it's time for me to be wise and SMART.  What do you think?

Worst Definition!

Have you ever heard about Urban Dictionary?  Parents beware!  Not all words you find in this site is verified and confirmed true.  Take a look at the example "tangina".  To Filipinos, we all know that this definition and/or usage of the word is definitely bogus.

Pinoys surely don't use the word for saying "excuse me"!  Whoever have given this usage, definitely not a Filipino.

Starbucks Buff

Pigging-out @SB! :)
I'm not a coffee lover, but I found myself visiting Starbucks store more often these days.  My kids and I love to go @Starbucks nowadays not because we love to have coffee.  We simply like their desserts.  My kids love SB's cinnamon swirl and I love their cakes (especially now that they have the guilt-free indulgence cake).  Once in a while we stay there to have desserts and chill.  But what I love most in staying at SB is the time I spend with my kids.  We get to talk about much of everything (how things were with our day) coz sometimes at home when we arrive, we are tiresome and we could not afford to have chit-chats anymore with each other.  But when we are at SB, we forget about time and just enjoy the chillax moments.  We talk, we laugh, we eat and most importantly we bond.  For me, these are my precious moments.  Forget about how expensive it is @SB!  What matters most is the time well spent with my love ones.  It's priceless!

Guilt-Free Indulgence

What could ever be an indulgence that is guilt-free?  If you say indulgence, it’s somehow flouting to satisfy one’s wants or desires.  So what could ever be a guilt-free indulgence can you think of?

To Starbucks, it’s their new product that I recently tasted.  Yes!  It’s called Guilt-Free Indulgence, a cake that makes you want for another slice.  Why so?  It’s sugar-free!  It’s a three layer cake of chocolate mousse (white to dark chocolate) with crushed Oreo cookies for the base that is so velvety.  The taste is so indulging that you may want for another slice.  It’s like Heaven on Earth but zero sugar.

Starbucks' Cheesecakes

Recently I became a frequent Starbucks patron coz I always crave for Green Tea Cream Frappuccino.  And what better way to accompany my green tea cream frappuccino than with a sweet treat?  Cheesecakes are perfect match with my fave drink.

Oreo Cheesecake
Though I can't twist, lick and dunk my oreo; Starbucks' Oreo Cheesecake gives me new way to enjoy my all-time favorite cookie.

Mango Yogurt Cheesecake
The yogurt in it is not overpowering the flavor of the cheesecake.  The mango, cheese and yogurt are in perfect harmony that leave a unique and satisfying taste.

Blueberry Cheesecake
I love blueberry cheesecakes!  But this time, Starbucks failed to give me satisfaction on their blueberry cheesecakes.  I hardly tasted the blueberry and it was too creamy for my gustatory cells.

Amazing Book Sculpture

I love arts!  Though I'm not that artistically talented, I very much appreciate arts (visual arts in particular).  I like going to art galleries and see the works of talented artist.

And for the first time in my entire life I've never seen such an amazing sculpture such as this.  I never thought that I could witness an awesome work.  A book sculpture! Imagine that!!

“Discarded Romance”
This art is made possible by Mike Stilkey.  It is now permanently displayed at Fully Booked in Bonifacia High Street, BGC, Taguig.

Mother's Day 2013

How did you celebrate this day?  It may be a simple day; but to a mom like me, the best way is to celebrate it with my kids.  Yet today it was not just about me having a good day, it was about sharing it also to my mom!

My mom rarely goes out from her abode, so today I made sure she had a good day with us.

Mamsi had a tour at Bonifacio High Street

Since Mamsi loves seafood, we ate lunch @Clawdaddy
We had our drinks at Jamba Juice

Our short stop @Eastwood City really made Mamsi's day!We saw Anthony Taberna of ABS-CBN. (Mamsi is a fan  & me, too!)  Notice Mamsi's smile?
Then we had our dessert @J.CO.  The perks of having SC...big discounts!!! :-)

Game of Thrones: Rated R (or X)

We don’t have a cable, much more of HBO channel.  Most of the popular TV shows I watch is stream lining.  I got curious about Game of Thrones since I heard different reviews (positive and negative) about its TV Show.  It is based on novel series by George R. R. Martin.  I haven’t read the book, thus I have no idea what the TV show is all about.  All I know, it is an epic fantasy show produced by HBO.

After watching the first few episodes of season 1, Game of Thrones is rated R show!  Watch out for your kids (especially below 18), they might be curious to watch it too.  There is no episode in the show that has no sex scenes.  Mind you, there is real frontal nudity and more.  The show has good plot, but I don’t think it’s necessary to show those obscenities.

VINCA: Homemade Antiseptic

Years ago I discovered that my kids have allergy on Betadine.  So I made my own antiseptic that would help heal insect bites, minor wounds, etc. of my kids.
VINCA solution:  Mix ½ cup of cane vinegar (Datu Puti) and 1tbs calamansi extract.  Apply it on insect bites, minor wounds, etc. as you apply rubbing alcohol.

Apply 2x a day. It makes healing time faster. Refrigerate remaining solution for future use.

Exact Change Please!

What happened to this policy “exact change”?  Have you noticed when you buy in department stores or supermarkets oftentimes they would give you short change? It’s simply because they ran out change for denominations of 25 centavos, 10 centavos, or 5 centavos. For example, the total amount you’ve got was P285.85 and you paid P300.  “Mam/Sir, ok lang po ba kung kulang ng 15 centavo? Wala na pong barya.”  And everytime you buy, you hear this line.  Imagine in one day how many consumers would be asked like this?

How convenient! Not to consumers but to them.  They already earn profits because you buy from them, and they keep earning because they give short change.  In other words, you’re being robbed!  No matter how you put it, this is simple way of getting more from the consumers.

Capitalists expect the consumers to pay the right amount.  In return, they must be responsible to give the consumers the exact change! If they can’t fully commit on giving the exact change for simple reason (they ran out of cents), they might as well change the way they tag price on the goods. No more decimal parts!  Surely hope that next time they won’t say they ran out of peso coins.
